We have put together a condensed Spring Show ONLINE Competition Schedule that is open to everyone to enter, and entry is FREE!
It may be something you have have been working on over the year, or something you are about to create. There are children and open categories. Everything from art to cooking, needle work to leather work, cake decorating, and floral saucers are included. Take a look and see what's there.

The 2021 Ballarat Spring Show is an online exhibitor only event. All exhibits are to be emailed. No exhibits will be accepted onsite.

CHILDREN'S SECTION
An exhibit must have the age of the child and year level included in the email entry. Exhibits to be childs own work.
SECTION A - CHILDREN'S COOKERY
COOKERY FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN
CLASS 11000 - 3 Decorated Plain Bought Marie Biscuits
An Oz Tenpin Bowling Ballarat Voucher will be awarded for the most outstanding exhibit in each class category (except Pre-School category).
A LEGO Classic Bricks prize will be awarded for the most outstanding exhibit in the Pre-School category.
- Pre School, Preps to Grade 2, Grade 3 to 6
- Topping must be edible
Class 11001 - Decorated Cupcakes - 3
An Oz Tenpin Bowling Ballarat Voucher will be awarded for the most outstanding exhibit.
COOKERY FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL CHILDREN
Class 11200 - Decorated cupcakes - 3
A $25 Wish Gift card, donated by Woolworths, will be awarded for the most outstanding exhibit.
- Topping must be edible
DECORATED CAKES FOR CHILDREN
Free-standing cakes must have a common base board. Base board not to exceed 50cms in any direction including diagonal. Elevated tiers must not overlap base board. No wire must penetrate icing or cake.
Ribbons, tulle, wire, non-synthetic stamens, edible colouring edible glitter (minimum amount) cachous, piping gel, coconut, posy picks and manufactured pillars may be used. Raffia and cord are permitted in presentation. No manufactured ornaments, dry gyp, lace or inedible glitter allowed, unless otherwise stated.
Dummy cakes are permitted as long as the same shape can be constructed in cake. Presentation taken into consideration.
Class 11301 - Decorated Novelty Cake
A $25 Wish Gift card, donated by Woolworths, will be awarded for the most outstanding exhibit.
- Butter cream etc. Lollies can be used)
SECTION B - CRAFT FOR PRESCHOOL & SCHOOL CHILDREN
PRE-SCHOOL & PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
Class 11350 - Drawing
An Art Pack, donated by Officeworks Ballarat, will be awarded for the most outstanding exhibit.
- A3 size maximum
Class 11351 - Lego Construction
An Oz Tenpin Bowling Ballarat Voucher will be awarded for the most outstanding exhibit in each class category (except Pre-School category).
A Lego Classic Bricks prize will be awarded for the most outstanding exhibit in the Pre-School category.
- No larger than 25 x 30cms
- Own design
- Must be presented on a solid base.
- Preschool – Duplo/Lego
- Prep – Grade 2 - Lego
- Grade 3 – 4 - Lego
- Grade 5 – 6 - Lego
Class 11352 - Article - any other craft
An Oz Tenpin Bowling Ballarat Voucher will be awarded for the most outstanding exhibit.
SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
Class 11400 - Drawing
An Art Pack, donated by Officeworks Ballarat, will be awarded for the most outstanding exhibit.
- Any medium (A3 size maximum)
Class 11401 - Lego Construction
A $25 Wish Gift card, donated by Woolworths, will be awarded for the most outstanding exhibit.
- No larger than 25 x 30cms

Class 11402 - Article - any other craft

SECTION C - CHILDREN'S PLANTS & FLOWERS
PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Class 11500 - Floral Saucer 8yrs & under
- Flowers arranged in sand in a teacup size saucer
Class 11501 - Floral Saucer 12 years & under
- Flowers arranged in sand in a teacup size saucer
SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
Class 11502 - Arrangement of fresh flowers in own Vase

A $25 Wish Gift card, donated by Woolworths, will be awarded for the most outstanding exhibit.
SECTION E - NEEDLEWORK
Articles may not be exhibited if they have won a prize at a previous Ballarat show.
All work must be the bonafide work of the exhibitor and must not have been washed or dry cleaned.
EMBROIDERY

PATCHWORK
